NPP Readings in November

On Tuesday, November 18 @ 8:00 join The New Philadelphia Poets at Brickbat Books for an evening of space exploration in the heart of Fabric Row.

A contiguous reading featuring poetry by Debrah Morkun, Patrick Lucy, Brian Cuzzolina, Sarah Heady, Keith Vosseller, Jamie Townsend and Angel Hogan

Free, Free, Free & open mic to follow. Bring your own space cakes. 

Then, on Sunday, November 23 @ 7 PM, head north to Fishtown’s most esoteric retail block where The New Philadelphia Poets will feature PhillySound poet Frank Sherlock after warming up the crowd at Germ Books

Free & open mic to follow (as usual). Some beers too.

NPP Benefit Reading

On Friday, December 12th, 7-9 pm, the New Philadelphia Poets will hold a reading to benefit community arts nonprofit BuildaBridge at Wooden Shoe Books (508 S. 5th st. Philadelphia, PA 19147). 

There will be a $5 suggested donation at the door as well as wine and appetizers for a small price. All proceeds will go directly to BuildaBridge’s “Painting a Brighter Future” campaign. 

BuildaBridge is a non-profit arts education and intervention organization that engages the transformative power of the arts to bring hope and healing to children, families, and communities in the tough places of the world. NPP Reading Thursday

The New Philadelphia Poets will be hosting a reading and open mic this Thursday, Oct. 23rd @ 7pm at Germ Books (2005 Frankford Ave) in Fishtown. 

Free entrance, free wine, free chapbook, free open mic.

There will be seven poets with seven minutes each: Debrah MorkunAngel HoganJamie Townsend, Nic Darling, Sarah Heady, Patrick Lucy & Keith Vosseller.
